How does ShareAsale work ?
www.ShareAsale.com uses proprietary technology, along with web and browser
standard technologies to bring together eCommerce Merchants and Affiliate
partner sites.
There are no technical requirements involved in using their software, and
it is 99.9999% (ShareAsale haven't found an incompatibility yet)
compatible with all shopping cart, ecommerce, or other site software that
you currently have.

Here is how it works:
You (the Merchant) sign up for ShareAsale, You upload the banners that you
want used, onto their site, through their Banner Management Center You set
the amount that you want to pay affiliates for each sale they bring you.
For example, 20% of the sale, or a straight $2.00...etc... This is all
done through the Account Management Center on ShareAsale.com. You place a
small piece of code on the receipt page of your website, which will serve
as the trigger to ShareAsale.com that a sale has been made.
Affiliate partners who are part of their network, will see your program
and subscribe to your program, These Affiliate partners then put your
banners on their Websites, and the traffic will come through to your site.
When a measurable action, such as a sale, or lead is generated at your
site, ShareAsale.com, after receiving the trigger that was set in Step 4
checks to see if an Affiliate partner brought you that sale.

Performance Marketing is one of the most powerful and effective customer
acquisition tools available to an online merchant. You decide the
commission structure to pay - and only pay when results come in. With a
program managed by ShareAsale.com, you enable their network of highly
motivated sales experts to promote your products to all of their visitors
- through websites, email newsletters, and loyal customer bases. You can
choose to setup your program to pay on a percentage of a sale
(pay-per-sale), a pay-per-lead basis (PPL or CPA), or a pay-per-click.
Affiliates:
There are currently over 2,000 Merchants plugged in to the ShareAsale.com
network. Each of these merchants has a different type of product that they
are selling - and each is ready to give you a commission on that sale if
you bring a customer to them. The idea - and the implementation - are
simple. You decide which merchants to promote - your information is hidden
to Merchants before you apply for any program - so no SPAM for you. You
decide how to promote that Merchant - using your web traffic, email
newsletters and other tools that you have. When commissions are generated,
you can see your stats in real-time. All payments are consolidated from
the programs you participate in, and are paid with one check by
ShareAsale.com. All payments from Merchants are taken up-front, to ensure
that your commissions will always be paid to you.

ShareAsale understand that affiliate programs take time to grow, so
ShareAsale offer the following grace period: Prior to Activation on the
Network No Minimum Fees
Up to 60 days after Activation No Minimum Fees
60-120 after Activation $10 Minimum Per Month
120+ after Activation $25 Minimum Per Month
Monthly minimum billing will begin on the 1st of the month following your
grace period, so your actual grace period may be a little longer depending
on what day of the month your account is activated.

processes and writes your affiliates' checks free of charge each month.
Affiliate Approval Included ShareAsale.com will pre-screen all of your
affiliates for you.
Affiliate Help Desk Included Your Affiliates may contact their help desk
at any time for the life of their membership, without any cost to you.
Ad Serving Charges Included ShareAsale.com serves all banners, buttons,
and text links for you.
Data feed upload Included / Restricted You may upload a data feed of your
products, to be used by your affiliates, at no charge. This is limited to
data feeds with no more than 15,000 overall product SKU records. For
larger data feeds, please contact your sales representative for reasonable
pricing.
FTP Download Permission Fees $1 Per Approved Affiliate At your option, you
may grant permission for an affiliate to download your data feed via the
ShareAsale FTP server. This is completely optional, and at your
discretion. Each affiliate you approve carries a nominal $1 charge.
